Meet Isabella Rose, I photographed her parents’ wedding in May of 2015… then almost a year later, a sweet baby girl was born! She’s definitely like the “cherry on top” that makes my job even more pleasurable. It took Bella about 3 hours then she finally fell asleep before we could even start taking photographs, she knew something was up, I could only imagine what she was thinking that day, “what is this new chick doing in my bedroom with a black little box thingy aiming at me?”. Her mama was such a big help making her as comfortable as possible to position her for the photos, i think i found a newborn session assistant! (wink! wink!) Baby Bella was 8 pounds and 1 ounce and was only a week old that day and i was able to capture her smile, . Her sweet big brother, Jackson wanted to hang out and help her mommy get a few things for the baby as we were getting ready to wrap up, Jackson is going to be such a good big brother. At the end of our photo session, her daddy got to hold and feed her, what a great way to end the day!

I always enjoy covering a wedding at one of my favorite venues, The Carolina Inn located in Chapel Hill. The best place to get inspired to get ideas for your home with a southern flair, from wood floors, crown molding, antique furnishings to framed artwork on the walls. No wonder Logan and Cayla chose to have their wedding at one of the finest hotels in the area, their wedding style was “Elegance meets the South” topped off with an awesome band that played american and french genre music from the 1940s which made the ambiance even more pleasurable, such a great couple to work with, so much love between the two of them. Seeing both of their parents hearts filled with such happiness for these two made the day feel more gratifying! What a privilege to work with one of New York’s Wedding Photographers, Julian Rubinik, and it’s been an honor to be a part of this beautiful event!

Such a blast photographing Lisa and Johnny’s wedding, they are such a fun couple to work with along with their wedding party! I learned so much more about Downtown Raleigh from them, they knew exactly what they wanted and where they wanted to have their photos taken. Lisa is a fellow photographer, she had about a two page long list of questions for me when we first met 🙂 and a few days later… I was thrilled to find out that she chose me to photograph their big day! Whew! Such a big compliment!! I don’t think it will ever get old with me of newly engaged couples having me document their “once in a lifetime” event, I love my job! Thank you so much Johnny and Lisa for letting me be a part of making your wedding day a special one, for you and your kids… and your kids’ kids to remember for years to come!!!

It’s been such a great pleasure working with Laura and Dustin. They’re both pretty laid back and very outgoing! I met up with them at their lovely home for the first part of their engagement session and as I got to their front porch, I fell in-love with their orange door (Mmmm, orange…) Yup! It’s a first sign that this is going to be good. They did mention a while back that they love doing home improvements – my kind of couple! Soon after, I met the rest of their family members, there’s a dog and a cat, and oh, another cat… wait there’s 4 cats, I think…. Love me some cats!!! With Laura’s great taste and Dustin’s talent, their place is one of the coolest homes I’ve ever seen! Oh yes, Laura has the coolest clothes and shoes as well. What can I say, she’s beautiful inside and out. No wonder both Dustin and Laura have awesome family and friends who traveled from great distances which helped make their big day an awesome and unforgettable one!

My bride Lisa, is a fellow Graphic Designer but she found her passion more of the “behind the scenes” of the technicalities of the web aspect, I call her the “Google Guru”. I asked her why she picked me as her photographer as I usually ask every bride, I was expecting her to say, “I love your work!” or “I love how you capture the moments.” But her answer was not even close to what I was expecting, “I love what you said on your Bio…”, I have to say, after our meeting, I had to check my site and read my bio again to see what she was saying, it’s been awhile since I wrote my own bio, you don’t hear that often from a couple, but it was refreshing to hear that and I had no idea that people still read the bio of any photographer.

I had a great time working with Lisa and Michael, very easy to work with and they know how to have fun! Lots of emotions going on at the end of the day, as their guests headed out for their exit, the couple made sure that it ends with a dance to their song, so glad I caught them and was able to capture their “alone time” moment. Thank you so much Lisa and Michael for allowing me to document your special day!
